Facebooks popularity is a conundrum to me as it is to, I’m sure, many sociologists and psychologists. But facts remain, you don’t become the #1 social networking site on the Internet today unless you know what you are doing. Facebook is being used by many business owners to help them to promote themselves and their businesses and why not? Numbers may have changed, but as of this writing, there are over 150 million Facebook users and on average there are 600,000 users online each day. What does this mean? Traffic and potential profit going to your website.

By far the easiest step to do. No excuses here. Very simple directions tells you to add your name , email address, password, your sex and your date of birth. Straight forward and to the point. Follow the rules of each group and respect what the group moderator allows to be posted. You don’t want to come across as a spammer. So be subtle on how you present your opportunity. Participate and add value.

Make sure that your Facebook URL is in your signature line. Every blog post, email, article or lens you write should have your Facebook URL below your name. Its a great way for people to learn more about you. Importantly, it is expanding your reach out to those that do not know you exist.

Limit your time.

I must warn you. There is a possibility that you can develop an addiction to Facebook. Use your time

efficiently. Facebook can swallow you whole. I have seen it.
