Just a quick note to tell you that I have a new self hosting blog that allows me to freely place any content on it. If you are not aware, wordpress.com has strict rules and could delete your blog any time they want for whatever reason they want.
So having your own self hosted blog eliminates this possibility. There are great You Tube videos that can help get you started.
There is a learning curve with familiarizing yourself with new terminology and computer lingo. I request that you seek guidance if you plan on doing this all by yourself. Here are some web hosts to choose from and my favorite FTP provider.
Why a self hosted blog?
1. This is a great platform for you to gain respect and credibility with other bloggers. If you own your own blog, people will believe that you are serious about your business etc.
2. Freedom to communicate with your reader. There are pluggins that allow you to directly respond to the reader after they have commented on your blog. WordPress and blogspot are not as flexible with this.
3. Can design your blog the way that you want it. Again freedom to express and freedom to advertise your affiliate programs.
4. Monetize your blog. There are some web hosting companies that will allow you to appy Google Adwords. Another source of income for you.
5. For me the number 1 reason.Way better Search Engine Optimization (SEO). There is a pluggin I use that is an All In One SEO. WordPress and Blogger does not have this. Or at least to this degree.
So seriously take a good look at my blog. Which I am still tweaking. I look forward to seeing you on the other side.
